At times, the laws of physics are suspended —
“Anomaly” does not imply an error.
Our first response may be a primal terror
To feel predictability upended;
But if we can accept a stark reminder
That regularity was just illusion,
The unexpected can dispel confusion.
Reality has always been far kinder
Than cold mechanics ever could embrace.
Perceiving the miraculous, we face
A universe imbued with the divine.
A chance presents itself to realign
Beliefs, to cast old paradigms asunder,
To let ourselves indulge in naked wonder.
It is better to not believe you understand completely how everything works, so as to avoid sudden shocks when one's internal model mis-predicts.

This is wonderful! Earlier today, my partner Fred and I had an impromptu conversation about time travel through meditative states, communicating with our future selves to solve current problems, and miracles. Your name actually came up and I asked if you write about time travel. We were imagining that a large group of people might be able to "time travel" to help solve big problems in the world right now. We need to be more open to the idea of miracles.
